The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced ADMS Operations Lead with expertise in SCADA, NMS, or OMS systems (preferably GE PowerOn) to join our client’s Network Operations team. Reporting to the Head of Customer Operations, this is a newly created position where you will be instrumental in building and supporting control room ADMS, making you the go-to expert in ADMS within Network Operations.
Your responsibilities will include maintaining the ADMS database, managing network changes, and driving enhancements in automated and manual processes to optimize workflow.
Your success in this role will hinge on your strong interpersonal skills, as you will need to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally, to understand, develop, and implement improvement initiatives.
Key Skills:
- 3 years’ experience with SCADA, NMS, or OMS systems (preferably GE PowerOn)
- 5 years’ in-depth experience in the Electricity Distribution, Transmission, Generation, or Consulting industry
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or similar
- A deep understanding of practices, procedures, and methods used to operate and control the elements of an electric power system
- Experience with implementing or supporting SCADA communication protocols, IP Networks, and serial communications
- Thorough knowledge of power system restoration practices and procedures
- A fundamental understanding of network asset functionality
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to build high-performing teams and strong working relationships with stakeholders
