Position: Driver/Fuel Service Technician
Location: Christchurch
Employment Type: Full-time
Your Role:
As a Driver/Fuel Service Technician, you will play a pivotal role in our clients operations by providing exceptional service in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of road tankers and equipment. From picking up and delivering trucks and trailers to conducting preventative maintenance and identifying faults, your expertise will ensure the safety and efficiency of the fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick up and deliver trucks and trailers as needed
- Conduct maintenance, overhaul, and repairs on vehicle components
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on tanker equipment
- Diagnose and repair faults in hydraulic, pneumatic, and pumping systems
- Install new machines and equipment as required
- Overhaul, maintain, and repair all plant machines
- Review and advise on engineering requirements and drawings
- Carry out routine inspections
- Adhere to all Lowes Industries Limited policies and the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by management
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Formal trade qualification
- HGV Truck and Trailer Licence (Class 5), DG endorsement desirable
- Knowledge of general motor/diesel mechanics, mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Experience with flammable liquids or gases tank wagons desired
