Backpacker – Dairy Farm Assistant 

We have 2 well-paid farm assistant contract starting November ’24 til end May’25 month for a working holiday visa holder to work on a farm in Otago area. This is also suitable for couples, friends.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in – working outdoors, with animals, learning about unique way of life for NZ’s most important industry while getting good pay and accommodation.

In exchange, the farm is looking for a worker who has some or all of the following:

• Good attitude and strong work ethic (mandatory)
• Previous experience with dairy farming
• Milking experience
• Motorbike or quad driving ability (mandatory for some jobs not for all)
• Good English speakers who can listen to and follow instructions. Communication is key
• Valid drivers license (even an international license) and have your own vehicle
• Can work outside under various conditions
• Can work rotating rosters
• Shared accommodation

Package includes:

• Hourly wage +8% holiday pay = Accommodation provided
• Minimum of 30 hours and an average of 40 hours per week
