A Calf Rearer is needed in Ashburton!

We have a well-paid 8-week contract starting in August for a Calf Rearer based in the Ashburton area. Would be great if you have previous calf rearing experience! This role is on a 540-cow farm. Please note, this position is not suitable for couples but the employer is open to nationalities and gender.

Responsibilities include:

• Calf rearing, including feeding and careing for calves
• identifying and alerting managers to sick cows
• Performing Other general farm duties

Ideal candidates will have:

• Previous dairy farming experience (preferred)
• A good attitude, initiative, and a strong work ethic (mandatory)
• Some experience in dairy farming, large animal care, or agriculture/viticulture/horticulture
• Motorbike and quad driving skills (mandatory for some jobs not all)
• Good English communication skills
• A valid driver’s license (international licenses accepted) and your own vehicle
• The ability to work outside under various conditions
• Willingness to work rotating rosters

Package includes:

• Hourly wage + 8% holday pay + Accommodation provided
• Minimum of 30 hours and an average of 45 hours per week
